Chocolate Labradors share the temperament that made the breed the most popular family dog on the planet. The difference is purely cosmetic โ a recessive gene gives them that rich brown coat. Behaviour, trainability, energy level, all identical to their cream cousins.
They are excellent around children, water-obsessed, and rarely meet a stranger they don't like within thirty seconds. The chocolate coat does show dust more visibly, so a quick weekly brush keeps them looking their best.
Like all Labs, they are food-motivated โ which makes training easy and weight management essential.
