About the Italian Greyhound

Italian Greyhounds are the toy version of the standard Greyhound, bred for centuries as companions in Mediterranean noble households. They are graceful, gentle, and surprisingly affectionate — often described as cat-like in their preference for warmth and comfort.

They have a thin short coat and a slight build, so they need a soft bed and a sweater for cool AC. They are remarkably easy to house-train and adapt instantly to apartment living.

They love a daily sprint at the park — true sighthounds, they need to run. Otherwise they are content to sleep curled up against you.
